Green Mountain Grain, LC raises the Deloris variety of hard red winter wheat.  Deloris was developed by David Hole, Utah State University’s wheat breeder, for its exceptional baking quality.  Since becoming organic in 1994, Green Mountain Grain, LC has produced wheat averaging 13.0 percent protein.  The wheat has graded U.S. Number 1, with an average test weight of 61.9 pounds per bushel.  Moisture has averaged 8.6 percent.  Shrunken and broken kernels averaged 1.4 percent, with a 0.8 percent dockage.

All products are delivered bulk.  Shipments range from a minimum of 675 bushels to a maximum of 23,775 bushels per consumer.  Larger shipments are possible through marketing agreements with other neighboring organic producers also raising Deloris hard red winter wheat in the area.  Shipments can be made by dump truck, semi-tractor trailers and pups, or by rail car.
